The primary focus of this task force is to gather together and publicise information about the various competitions, platforms and programmatic interfaces for AI game agents - and to think about efficient ways for AI (agents) to communicate their intentions/control information to a game engine.
Games is an area of significant and growing importance to the IEEE Computational Intelligence Society, which has organised the CIG series of conferences (Colchester, UK in 2005, Reno, USA in 2006, and Honolulu, USA in 2007 - see http://csapps.essex.ac.uk/cig/). |
